Why I Created This Course
‘The Confidence Reclaim Starter Pack’
I created ‘The Confidence Reclaim Starter Pack’ because I know what it feels like when disability suddenly changes your working life, your income, your confidence and your sense of control.
My aim is not to push disabled people into work, or pretend every opportunity suits every person.
My aim is to help those who want to explore extra income, do it calmly, legally, safely and flexibly, starting with their own benefits position before making any decisions.
How ‘The Confidence Reclaim Starter Pack’ Was Born
‘The Confidence Reclaim Starter Pack’ was born after experiencing the anxiety, confusion and financial pressure that can come when you are claiming disability benefits and your condition changes what you can do for work.
I know what it feels like when disability starts to take over your thinking.
One minute, you are working in a way that makes sense.
Then your health changes.
Your confidence changes.
Your income feels uncertain.
Your future feels less clear.
And suddenly you are not just dealing with disability. You are dealing with fear, paperwork, benefit rules, financial pressure and the question nobody really wants to say out loud:
“What can I safely do now?”
That is the gap I wanted ‘Confidence Reclaim‘ to help with.
Not pressure.
Not false promises.
Not “just get a job”.
A calm pathway.
I Nearly Had To Give Up
It is true that I nearly had to give up.
I created version 1 of ‘The Confidence Reclaim Starter Pack’ but before I could release it fully, I had an unexpected deterioration in my health. I found I was unable to devote the time this project needed.
Then in April 2026 the rules and regulation changed.
I knew I would have to do an extensive update to ensure the course was up to date and accurate. This involved a lot more time and research.
I knew how I had felt living through the health effects of my own disability. I was determined to push on get all the necessary updates completed.
I am pleased to report that all the updates were successfully completed and version 2 of ‘The Confidence Reclaim Starter Pack’ is now ready.
The First Stage
The first stage is about understanding your own benefits position before you even think about earning extra income.
Because PIP is not the same as Universal Credit.
ESA has its own rules.
Council Tax Reduction can depend on your local authority.
One person’s safe route may not be another person’s safe route.
That is why the first part of the CRSP course contains an easy to use, guided spreadsheet, to help people ask the right questions and get clearer on their own legal and benefits-safe position.
The Second Stage
Only after that does the second stage look at possible flexible income routes.
For me, that includes showing people how they could begin exploring online offer promotion, through a platform that can adapt itself well to these circumstances. What I consider important, is that
- there is no cost to join and
- it is somewhere people can start learning how to promote other people’s offers,
- then move toward creating their own offer combinations over time.
Have You Ever Recommended a Film?
If you have ever recommended a film, a helpful product, a useful service or a good meal to someone, then you already understand the basic human idea behind offer promotion.
It starts with sharing something useful with people who may genuinely benefit from it.
There Is No Need to ‘Put Yourself Out There and Feel Exposed’
And it does not mean you have to become a public personality, appear on camera or put yourself out there. There are faceless ways to approach online promotion, which make the first steps feel less exposed and much more manageable.
How Much Time Will This Take You To Do It Yourself?
I can speak from first hand experience when I say, researching and making sense of all the complex rules and regulations will swallow hours of your time. Sifting the outdated or incorrect information can be a mine field.
Finding a potential opportunity to suit your situation can end up swallowing more hours, days or even weeks.
I have removed that worry and done the hard work, so you don’t have to.
You can move at your own pace.
It will take about one hour (approximately) to complete the course. Chunk it down if you need to and do what you can, when you can. There is no time limit.
Flexibility Built In
That flexibility matters.
Because many disabled people cannot promise fixed hours.
They cannot always work to someone else’s timetable.
They may have good days, bad days, flare-ups, anxiety, fatigue, pain, appointments or uncertainty.
So, the opportunity has to fit around the person.
Not the other way round.
That is why I think conversations around PIP, work and disability support need to be handled carefully.
Not every disabled person can work.
Not every disabled person should be pushed toward work.
Ambition Is Still Allowed
But for those who do have ambition, curiosity or a desire to create more financial breathing space, there should be a safe and realistic pathway.
That is what ‘Confidence Reclaim’ is really about.
It is not about resisting change for the sake of resisting change.
And it is not about blindly trusting reform either.
It is about helping people become calmer, clearer and more prepared.
Because if the system is changing, disabled people need more than headlines.
They need clarity.
They need flexibility.
They need options.
And most of all, they need to feel back in control of their own next step.
